Plenty of birds were found by pointing dogs at the ISCS back-to-back hunt tests on April 30th and May 1st. Conditions were good all weekend at Scatter Creek, with some light mist on Saturday morning breaking up to a mild, overcast day. Sunday brought sunny skies and a light breeze from the north blowing across the bird field.
Kudos
Thank you judges Christine Cameron and Laura Miles (Saturday) and Melissa and Paul Newman (Sunday). ISCS recognizes the hard work of our hunt test co-chairs, Peggy Tucker and Dean Kinney. The test couldn't have been run more smoothly. Especially appreciated was the mowing of the viewing area by Jim Tucker and his parking of a flat-bed trailer to serve as a raised grandstand so all had a better view of dogs working the bird field. Thanks also to the ISCS hunt test committee, Barb Kinney, Jim Tucker, Gene Berg, Jack Kinney, Chris Greene, Marsha Henkel, Teresa Hike, and Sue Orlicky, and to all the other volunteers. Overheard on Sunday: "Nobody puts on a hunt test like ISCS."
